On October 13-14, 2026, members of approximately 25 Rockefeller University laboratories gathered at Windrose on Hudson in Ossining, NY, for the biennial Infectious Disease, Immunology, and Metabolism (IDIM) Retreat. Sponsored by the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Institute for Global Infectious Disease Research, the retreat brought researchers together in an informal setting to share recent work and ideas on infection, immunity, and metabolism, with perspectives ranging from cell biology and biochemistry to virology, microbiology, and the pathogenesis of human diseases.
The two-day program featured talks from each participating lab, a flash talk session, and an evening poster session and reception, along with time for informal conversation and recreation. The retreat fostered new connections and collaborations across the University’s infectious disease, immunology, and metabolism communities.
